Sardines from Occitania | Captaine Nat
Sometimes you crave a very simple, yet authentic taste. One that doesn't speak loudly, but simply... is good.
These sardines are exactly that. From Southern France, the Occitania region, where food is still prepared by hand, without rush, and has a history.
They are prepared the old-fashioned way: first lightly grilled, then steamed. Without rushing, to remain juicy, tender, and naturally rich in flavor.
And then - only what's needed: organic extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt. That's it. Nothing more is needed.
Can be consumed without any preparation, simply at room temperature.
"CAPITAINE NAT" is a French brand from Southern France, with roots in the organic food world dating back to the 1960s. They pride themselves on:
- wild-caught fish
- certified organic ingredients
- steam-cooked fish
Their sardines are steam-cooked, not fried in oil, as most traditional French factories do.
This gives them a cleaner, lighter taste, a more delicate texture, and they are often easier to digest.
