A sea sponge isn't foam poured in a factory. It's a living creature, grown on the rocks off the Greek coast and harvested so that it grows back.
Dry, it's hard and rough as a stone. Dip it in water and within seconds it softens. You need half as much soap as with an ordinary sponge, and the lather comes out fine and thick. Your skin doesn't feel tight afterwards.
This one is the medium, 10–11 cm, and sits just right in your hand. It suits a baby and sensitive skin alike: no synthetic additives, only the sponge itself.
The box is cardboard, plastic-free — so you can give it exactly as it comes.

How to care for it
Rinse thoroughly in clean water after every use so no soap is left behind. Squeeze it out and let it dry completely. Rinse it in lukewarm water now and then. Keep it out of direct sun and away from any source of heat.
A sea sponge is of animal origin, so it is not vegan.
