Four soft pads instead of single-use cotton rounds.
The surface is like terry — soft but not slippery, so make-up lifts off without rubbing. Dampen with water or add a little cleanser. The edges are bound, so they don't start fraying.
Two white, two sand. It works for me: I keep the white ones for my face and the sand ones for nail polish.

How to care for them
Rinse thoroughly with water after every use, and wash by hand with a mild detergent when needed. Let them dry completely before using them again. Store them clean and dry, away from long spells of direct sun.
The maker recommends hand washing only – there is no machine-wash instruction.
