DISH SOAP: probiotic dishwashing soap cube with lemon

A solid dish soap that tackles grease with lemon, ash and tamarind – no synthetic additives at all.

This 175 g soap cube is handmade in Auroville, South India, from local organic coconut oil and cleansing plants, with 19 probiotic strains of bacteria and yeasts. It is vegan and free from plastics and synthetics.

• Lemon – cleanses and deodorises
• Neem leaves – cleanse, with antiseptic properties
• Ash – highly alkaline, so it breaks down grease
• Tamarind – helps clear stains and gives dishes a shine
• Coconut oil – a rich lather that is gentle on surfaces

How to use: wet a brush or sponge, rub it over the soap cube until it foams and wash the dishes. Keep the cube dry between uses – it then lasts about a month. One cube makes up to 1.3 kg of dishwasher powder or 4.25 kg of liquid soap concentrate – recipes are included in the pack.

Frequently asked questions

How long does one soap cube last?
About a month of daily dishwashing, as long as the cube dries between uses.

Can I use it in a dishwasher?
The cube itself is for hand washing, but you can make dishwasher powder from it with the included recipe.

Why choose a solid dish soap over liquid?
It needs no plastic bottle, it is concentrated so it lasts a long time, and the packaging can be composted or recycled.
